We are thrilled to announce the successful production and dimensional testing of the ASME B16.5 NACE/MR0175 ISO-15156 SOUR flanges made from A182 F51, recently ordered by our esteemed customer in the United States.

At C&N Huitong, we understand the importance of delivering top-tier products that not only meet but exceed our customers’ expectations. This batch of flanges underscores our unwavering commitment to quality and precision engineering.

The ASTM A182 F51 flanges are crafted from duplex steel, known for its dual-phase microstructure consisting of ferritic and austenitic properties. The material boasts a tensile strength of 620 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 450 MPa. Our production includes SW FF, SW RF, WN FF, WN RF, and BL RF flanges, ranging in size from 1/2 to 8 inches, with pressure ratings of 150 LB and wall thicknesses from 10 to 40. These flanges meet the NACE MR0175 standards to prevent sulfide stress cracking caused by H2S in oil and gas production systems.

Tests and Inspection

One tension test shall be made for each heat of ASTM A182 F51 flanges. One set of three Charpy V-notch tests shall be performed for each heat of products. When required by the purchaser, detecting of detrimental phase in the duplex stainless steel shall be conducted in accordance with ASTM A923 or ASTM A1084. Non-destructive tests such as ultrasonic test (UT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), or liquid penetration examination may be performed upon client’s request. There shall be no welding repair and the duplex F51 flanges shall have a workmanlike finish, and the machined surfaces shall have a surface finish not to exceed 250 AA roughness height.
