This steel composition features controlled carbon content (0.05–0.15%) to balance strength and weldability while reducing hardening tendency. The chromium (1.00–1.50%) and molybdenum (0.44–0.65%) content endow its core performance advantages: enhanced creep resistance, hydrogen corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and high-temperature strength. This allows the flange to maintain excellent strength at elevated temperatures (maximum service temperature approximately 593°C / 1100°F).
