Recently, C&N is producing a batch of EFW WELDED pipes of A358 304L. Regarding the packaging, in order to reassure the customers, we have made very thorough and complete preparations.
Our Package
The packaging of these pipes features a multi – protective design. First, wooden pads are placed at the end of the pipes. These wooden pads act as a buffer, effectively preventing damage to the pipe ends during transportation and storage. Then, the main bodies of the pipes are wrapped with white woven cloth, which is further secured with transparent adhesive tape. This packaging method provides comprehensive protection, reducing the risk of scratches and collisions, and ensuring the pipes remain in good condition before delivery.

Standard Specification for Electric-Fusion-Welded Austenitic Chromium-Nickel Stainless Steel Pipe for High-Temperature Service and General Applications
The ASTM A358 specification covers electric-fusion-welded austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel pipes suitable for corrosive, high-temperature, or general applications.
This standard uses the dimensionless designator NPS (nominal pipe size) instead of traditional terms such as “nominal diameter,” “size,” and “nominal size.”
This specification covers the grades of alloy and stainless steel listed in Table 1. The purchaser shall select the proper grade and heat treatment requirements based on the service conditions to be encountered.
Five classes of pipe are covered as follows:
- Class 1: Pipe shall be double welded by processes employing filler metal in all passes and shall be completely radiographed.
- Class 2: Pipe shall be double welded by processes employing filler metal in all passes. No radiography is required.
- Class 3: Pipe shall be single welded by processes employing filler metal in all passes, and complete radiography is required.
- Class 4: Same as Class 3, except the weld pass exposed to the inside of the pipe may be made without filler metal (see 6.2.2.1 and 6.2.2.2).
- Class 5: Pipe shall be double welded by processes employing filler metal in all passes, and spot radiography is required.
