Reducer is a kind of fitting that be used for reducing piping size. There are 2 types reducer as follows:

WP316L SMLS Concentric Reducers are used to join pipes or pipe sections on the same axis. They provide an in-line tapered transition between pressurised pipes of different diameters.

A WP316L SMLS Concentric Reducer can be a single diameter change or a multiple diameter change. The pipes are not aware of the external configuration of the reducer. Pipe flow is influenced by the tapered transition configuration of the inside diameter, which can be axially moved and externally reconfigured to provide more economical reducer fittings. In this way, wp316l SMLS concentric reducers connect pipes of different sizes but with a common centreline. In other words, it is a type of pipe fitting with different sized ends for joining pipes of different diameters, joining pipe sections on the same axis.

WP316L SMLS Concentric Reducers are designed with the small and large diameters at opposite ends and joined by a conical transition section. They are available in both seamless and welded construction. The use of WP316L SMLS Concentric Reducers is as follows:

WP316L SMLS Concentric Reducers will gracefully transition between the pipework and the pump.

WP316L SMLS Concentric Reducers will assist in the transport of slurries or abrasive liquids.

They are useful in services where cavitation is present. When transferring between flanges or pipes of different sizes and wear protection is required, concentric reducers are ideal.
