About Precipitation-Hardening 15Cr-5Ni
15Cr-5Ni stainless steel, also known as 15-5PH stainless steel, is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel developed to provide an excellent combination of high strength, outstanding toughness, good corrosion resistance, and reliable fabrication performance. Due to its superior mechanical properties and dimensional stability, 15Cr-5Ni is widely used in aerospace, energy, industrial equipment, and chemical processing industries.
Compared with conventional 17-4PH stainless steel, 15Cr-5Ni contains lower delta ferrite content, which significantly improves transverse toughness and ductility while maintaining excellent strength and hardness. The alloy is especially suitable for components requiring high reliability under demanding operating conditions.
